DESCRIPTION:Join the Kenwood Institute on Thursday\, May 2nd\, at 7pm ET for a seminar with Wes Pastor\, director of the NETS Institute\, on pastoral ministry\, church revitalization\, and church planting.  \n\n\n\nMORE: Kenwood couples are invited to a pizza dinner with the Pastors at 6pm. Registration required. Join the Kenwood Institute on Thursday\, May 2nd at 6pm for pizza with the Pastors! Before Wes Pastor addresses the Kenwood Institute at 7pm\, he and his wife\, Sue\, will be speaking about ministry together as a couple. This event is open to all Kenwood couples. Pizza is provided! Come together Sunday\, May 5th @ 7pm\, at the Smothers home to discuss! \n\n\n\nPlease note: If you are signing up for this reading group\, you are committing to read the book and attend the book discussion! We want return on our investment! 🙂 \n\n\n\nSt. Irenaeus was\, undisputedly\, the most important theologian of the second century who laid a firmer foundation for all future Christian thinkers. Both in his work\, Against the Heresies and in this present study\, Demonstration of the Apostolic Preaching\, St. Irenaeus explains that there is but one God\, made known to the human race by his one Son\, Jesus Christ\, through the one Holy Spirit\, and this one God brings his creatures made from dust into intimate communion with himself. Writing in an age not unlike our own\, among a plethora of religions and diverse gods\, he exhorts his readers to hold fast to Scripture\, which recounts the deeds that bring them into the covenant established by God.
